Real Wedding: Erica and Tim

Today I want to share with you the London wedding of Erica & Tim! It was such a pleasure helping Erica find her dress, and she was the last bride I actively helped before going on maternity leave last year so she will always have a special place in my heart! She chose the Bloem dress by Laudae, and I think we all knew the moment she put it on that it was the one!

Describe your wedding: We got married at the Asylum Chapel in Peckham, jumped on an old fashioned London bus to East Dulwich and had our reception in The Lordship Pub. We live in South London so knew we wanted to get married nearby and that we wanted a wedding that felt fun, relaxed and not overly formal. We got married on our 13 year anniversary so wanted to ensure our wedding reflected us and our relationship.

What was your favorite part of the day?: As cheesy as it sounds it is really hard to pick just one part of the day. If I had to it would be walking down the aisle towards Tim...I just felt so excited and any nerves I had slipped away.

What piece of advice would you give other couples?: Go with what feels right for you as a couple and not what is expected of a wedding.

Why did you fall in love with your dress?: It just felt right. I had been to a few different shops and tried on quite a number of dresses. I was beginning to think I wouldn’t find a dress I liked. The Laudae Bloem was by far my favourite as it fitted my shape well, the lace was beautiful and I could picture myself wearing it in my venues.

What was your favorite part of shopping at Heart Aflutter?: Cecilia was my favourite part of shopping at Heart Aflutter. I was quite nervous and worried I wouldn’t be able to find a dress I liked. She helped to put me at ease, just very reassuring and calming. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured to buy anything at all. I also really appreciated her helping me in and out of the dresses whilst being heavily pregnant.⠀
